Crawled - Currently not indexed - My Experience Troubleshooting the Issue
As a SEO Analyst, one of the challenges I faced was encountering a "Crawled - Currently not indexed" status on Google for our old blog post - https://scgroup.global/blog/safety-tip-green-cleaning-cleaner-future/ (Continuity of case 2) that I worked on. After some analysis and troubleshooting, I was able to fix the issue and get the post indexed.
First, I analyzed the content, meta tags, internal, and external links for the blog post. I used the "Copyscape" tool (https://www.copyscape.com/) to check for any plagiarism issues with the content. I then edited and updated the meta tags to make sure they were properly optimized for the post.
The title and meta description for the post were updated to:
Title: Safety Tip: Green Cleaning for a Cleaner Future | Cleaning tips
Meta Description: When you choose green cleaning products and practices, your family is safer and healthier. Find out more about the advantages of greener cleaning. The future: green cleaning, clean air quality, cleaner environment, safer spaces.
Links: I also created internal and external links for the post.
- The internal link was to https://scgroup.global/facility/cleaning/ and
- the external link was to https://www.care.com/c/7-benefits-of-green-cleaning/. I also changed the focus keyword based on relevance.
Next, I built some backlinks for the post. I submitted it to sites like
- https://slashdot.org/submission/17074416/safety-tip-green-cleaning-for-a-cleaner-future,
- https://www.reddit.com/r/SecurityCareerAdvice/comments/zsg0w1/tips_for_success_on_security_guard_job/ and
- https://www.reddit.com/user/Southerncrossgroup/comments/zsg2aq/safety_tip_green_cleaning_for_a_cleaner_future/
Finally, I submitted the blog post URL to be indexed in Google search console's URL inspection tool and requested indexing https://scgroup.global/blog/safety-tip-green-cleaning-cleaner-future/. I also deleted and resubmitted the blog post's XML sitemap.
After these steps, the "Crawled - Currently not indexed" issue disappeared, and the post was successfully indexed in Google. The screenshot below shows the result.
