Alternate Page With Proper Canonical Tag

Recently noticed the “Alternate Page with Proper Canonical Tag” status message for our SCG page - https://scgroup.global/blog/security/ in Google Search Console.

It means that there are two versions of a page on our website having the same canonical URL. Google will simply exclude the duplicate version and index the main version of the page.

Original Version – Front End:

Original Version – Back End:

Duplicate Version – Front End:

 Duplicate Version – Back End:

This page is https://scgroup.global/blog/security/ a duplicate of a page that Google recognizes as canonical. This page correctly points to the canonical page, so there is nothing for us to do.

Google Excludes the duplicate version: https://scgroup.global/blog/security/

Google Indexed the main version of the page: https://scgroup.global/facility/security/
