I recently encountered the issue of "Discovered - currently not indexed" for a blog post that I had published on 15 February 2023. This isn't the first time I've faced this issue, and I previously wrote a blog post about it that went into great detail about my struggles. However, this time I was able to resolve the issue much more quickly.
I identified the issue in the "Page Indexing" section of the Google Search Console tool, which I regularly monitor. I confirmed the issue using the URL inspection tool and the search operator "site:scgroup.global/blog/help-points-essential-student-safety-university-campuses/".

To resolve the issue, I took the following actions:
- I created internal links and adjusted them slightly to link to our services pages using the terms "control room security operators" and "professional electronic security technicians".
- I checked the page speed insights for the blog post, which showed an "Unable to resolve" message. However, this was a temporary error that was only affecting mobile devices. The desktop version had a score of 82, while the mobile version scored 30. I fixed the mobile issues, such as bullet point alignment and text width issues, with the help of a web developer.

I also conducted a technical analysis, which included:
- Mobile indexing analysis: I analyzed the blog post on a mobile device and fixed any issues with its responsiveness.
- Log file analysis: I requested the Firewall log details from the IT team for the period from 15.2.2023 to 26.2.2023. I analyzed the data and found that there were no server errors during the specified period, but there were 13 blocks implemented by the Firewall. I also checked the list of response codes and found that Googlebot had crawled the blog post three times over the 12-day period.

- External links: I created backlinks for the blog post on various platforms, including Digg, Diigo, and Reddit, to help improve its ranking.

Resolved The Issue

By taking these steps, I was able to resolve the issue of the blog post not being indexed by Google. It's important to regularly monitor your website's performance and take action as needed to ensure that it's running smoothly and ranking well in search engine results pages.
Please note that the issue of "Discovered - currently not indexed" is not due to low-quality content or technical issues. Instead, it is because the post was recently created and has not yet been indexed by search engines. This is a normal occurrence and the post should be indexed in due time.
